FARNBOROUGH, UK, TORNADO DAMAGE 2007.
On 24th Sept 2007,
A T2 rated tornado with wind speeds possibly of between 74-93mph hit the 'Cove' area of town at approx 07.30am.
This was the only confirmed tornado to hit the UK that day, although there were a total of 12 reports throughout the country.
There was significant structural damage with some roofs destroyed and chimneys damaged as well as a large tree being ripped from the ground and a bus shelter destroyed.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
